Bioshock Remastered seems to be acting strange. Have you ever had the game not install the launcher with the game??
My favorite is Infinite. I never really liked the first 2 games because of the engine and it’s standard ai that we saw in a lot of games back then. They all worked the same. Infinite had at least some modified ai and larger maps.
yeah I remember playing infinite in high school, but because I never played bio shock 1 and 2 the story/ending didn’t make any sense at all.

Time to replay the original Bioshock, I guess!
The first one is the best for sure, holds up really well. Second one isn’t quite as good but being able to dual wield a power and a weapon was a great addition. Just watch out for crashes, the first 2 remasters are notorious for this, but the forums have a lot of config suggestions and links to possible patch fixes.
