About this free PC game:

This ambitious project, launched over a decade ago by Gavin “Interkarma” Clayton, is aiming to bring the unique experience of the classic open-world RPG game to a new generation of gamers. Thanks to the efforts of the GamerZakh, a gaming content creator with a love for classics, you can now enjoy a special GOG Cut of the Daggerfall Unity title.

All you have to do is download the game and simply launch it. The GOG Cut of Daggerfall Unity doesn’t require any special actions or updates on your behalf. Thanks to settings and mods that were selected by GamerZakh you can explore the rich world of Daggerfall with enhanced visuals and gameplay.

However, please note that although we find the experience very enjoyable the work on the title is still ongoing. Some technical issues might occur, so it’s wise to quicksave often (F9) 😀

Starting from June 15th, this game is permanently available for free!

I’ve tried the game out a bit, check out the epic battle between a naked barbarian and a dungeon rat here:

  1. I’m curious as to how many people added this to their library, installed it, played it and the quit shortly afterwards because of the awkward melee combat mechanics.
It takes a lot of patience to get used to..
But once you finally get it down, it’s almost second nature.

  2. Daggerfall Unity is one of the best remasters, made completely by fans, with a gigantic modding community. Arguably the best Elder Scrolls experience available, with a world that dwarfs the maps of later games in the series. Every playthrough is different, and the amount of freedom available, makes it one of the best sandbox style games ever made.
