All of these games seem to be proper, but the most expensive one (Railway Road) was free on Epic once. Hob seems to be the best one here.
Hob was also free on Epic. It’s not too bad gameplay wise, but the story is really drawn out in an attempt to make the player care about characters. Which might be fine if the main character didn’t narrate the story and speak everyone’s lines, and being a robot delivers them in a monotonic drone that undercuts every dramatic moment in the story.
I’m getting déjà vu, except I think last time it was you reminding me something had already been free on Epic. So hard to keep track, they’ve given away so many games.
IMO the story and the way it’s told are too “minimalist” to have the impact they were going for.
Yeah, agreed. Minimalist, but at tthe same time it takes so long to say very little. Given it was a single dev (I think) it was a remarkable achievement, and the game itself wasn’t too bad (except for billion or so trash collectibles), but it just didn’t float my boat.
