Epic Games is giving away FREE copies of GTA V, a legendary open world action and driving game, starting May 14 at 5 PM CET and lasting until May 21 2020.

Epic announced this amazing freebie yesterday via Twitter. The tweet has now been removed but you can still see the video:

Epic has announced that they will keep the weekly free game giveaway throughout 2020 – follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Steam to get a reminder when each new free game giveaway launches!

ABOUT THE GAME:

When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC offers players the option to explore the award-winning world of Los Santos and Blaine County in resolutions of up to 4k and beyond, as well as the chance to experience the game running at 60 frames per second.

Grand Theft Auto V has 96 score at Metacritic, it usually costs $29.99 but will be available for free at Epic Games Store until May 21st 2020. 

HOW TO GET GTA V FOR FREE:

Just head over to Epic Games Store or navigate to the game in their launcher before May 21st 2020, add the game to your cart and checkout. Simple as that. After that, the game is yours to keep, and play, forever.

To claim your free game you’ll also need to enable a 2-factor authentication at Epic Games Store.

      I have 90 *FREE* games on EGS…didn’t play Fortnite for 1sec…didn’t spend 1$ in their store…i used it just for the free games…

    • i thought thats how free games from epic store always worked? Considering the quality of the games compared to other freebies for steam it’s worth a download

    download Epic Games Launcher
    keep clicking on Go to store till it opens
    click on Get and when it gives Grey screen click on left mouse button and hold it you will see the typing icon or corner idk whats the name of it you will press Backspace to open the page by itself if you didn’t do all this well bro wait till the server back

      • oh believe me, not when a lot of millions of people wants to get gta 🙂 they have fortnite, they are used to a lot of people 🙂 but not to so alot….

  36. Will my progress on steam effect on the progress of the game on epic store I mean the online and if it doesn’t can I rest my progress I have the normal version of the game on steam not the premium

      • Not thousands… Its millions of gamers…. Their servers went down. Their servers even try to re-route the web traffic. That’s why some people report different languages like Chinese, Russian.etc…
        I hope that service may get up online soon.

      • For sure, everyone with a real interest in this already has it, but the online component is still making them a metric crap-tonne of money, so this is a savvy move on their part.

        • bro if they have GTA V there must be Online what is the use of a real game giveaway without online this would be a waste for cracked games if no online

          • It’ll have online, they don’t sell that separately, but they do sell in-game money for online, that’s what makes them all the money. So they’ll still make a tonne of money off this promotion.

  43. Can people use mods in the Epic Store version, and if so, is there a different way of adding them than usual?
