        • Back in the day when games came with manuals and other goodies. Most games don’t even have digital manuals anymore.
Part of me misses those days and misses the extra stuff you’d get. Then I think about the pricing and how easy it is to own / buy games now.

          • Some games even came in special bags back then. It takes up a lot of space rather quickly. I prefer digital these days, but it has to be DRM free.

    • The first game on pc I ever had was Blade Runner. The only game I ever had new with the plastic case inside a pc box the size of a large hardback book. You always felt you got more with your money, with the printed manual and maps. Nowadays you’d have to print it out yourself, provided a game has any pdf manual or maps at all.. The large boxes were obviously just on their way out (around 2000) as everything else after that came in a regular cd or dvd box alone

      • I should get back into gaming a bit more. I’ve been busy with a lot of other things lately or playing on handhelds only.
I’ll take some time to download / play this one.

          • Ah ok. Sounds like a plan then.

It reminds of the the earlier GTA games. Fun at the time, and still mostly fun now, but they’ve aged graphically quite a bit.
