You can now claim Watch Dogs 2 for FREE

Ubisoft is giving away Watch Dogs 2 on PC, free of charge, for anyone watching their live event July 12th.

Tune in to the dedicated Ubisoft Forward stream starting at 10:30 AM PDT with a packed pre-show and free rewards. The Ubisoft News team and friends will be playing Trackmania live on stream, followed by exclusive news, interviews, and a look at upcoming content, including intel about the AI teammates coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint, news from Just Dance 2020, a deep dive into a much-loved Easter egg from The Division 2, and more!

Don’t forget to log in with your Uplay account anytime after Trackmania and before the end of the main show to claim a free copy of Watch Dogs 2 on PC, and to get a chance to answer trivia questions and win some rewards for a variety of Ubisoft titles.

It’s simple; to get your copy make sure you are logged in with your Uplay account at the official Ubisoft Forward page (the page will go live before the event starts July 12th).

    I guess a bunch of people managed to login? Or somehow they’ve removed the dislikes. I think I did my first ever dislike of a video today. This was poorly planned. Typical of every company out there who decides to give something away that has the potential to be popular.

    EDIT: Got it to work, just had to keep signing in I think it took 50 tries at least. So just keep logging in until it works

  86. I managed to login in Uplay, it redirects me to the stream and just can’t login there, theres like 8mins until the event starts and it wont count if im not logged in.. i feel scammed

For me it looks like a scam. 1st they had no single problem with streaming when Elon Musk had many of them on space x start. 2nd they had heavy problems with login system wich all day serving hundred tousands logins every minute for their games without problem and they had that issue only in time of transsmision, right after it everything worked perfectly. For me they just wanna create hype but they not meant to give away so many free copies of the game and created artificial problem. US residents got alternate method of gaining rewards by sending mails but why noone outside us had such a chance ?

In Ubisoft’s defense they are a fledgling startup that has never posted anything on the internet before, so while it may have seemed entirely obvious to you, me, and 100,000 other people on the internet that they’d need extra servers to cope with the demand, it’s an easy mistake to make. Apparently. And waking up at 5am on a cold Melbourne morning was its own reward.

  141. Watched the stream ’til the end, registered multiple times on my multiple account, and still no signs or email from Ubi about Watch Dogs 2 on my Uplay library, I’ve been waiting for 2 days, why you do this to me Ubisoft

    I think staying up all night for free game wasn’t worth it all (UTC +08:00 area for Ubi live stream was pretty unfortunate)

  149. I used to do it too when I was a teen, I didn’t had money to spend or you can say my parents were bit reluctant about me having money to spend (Indian parents mentality). But now I can hold money. And I use it to buy software/games. You not buying the product & taking in piracy reduce the revenue of the developer (I.e. if you have money).
    So if you have money, then I would suggest you to buy it rather taking help from piracy.
