Bought Disco when it was cheap, I need to start that again some time, I tried playing it but I think all the hype set my expectations way too high, it wasn’t what I was expecting at all. And Chivalry 2 and Trek to Yomi have been given away on PS+ so this is another skip month for me.
It’s a really unique game, nothing quite like it, and in today’s industry those are RARE. Plus, it was probably the best written game I’ve ever played.
I already own Disco, the rest is meh. Pass for me.
I always hold out hope that Humble will turn around and get back to the glory days of bundles every time the Monthly rolls around. I then become summarily disappointed virtually every month, this month being no different.
I had been flip/flopping between keeping my yearly sub and not resubbing after my sub runs out, which at this pace will probably be another 2 or 3 years considering how often I pass on the Monthly. But I think this month did me in. Honestly, I would rather just 1 decent game rather than all this garbage.
Just to pour salt into an open wound, I’m usually slow in accepting the Humble Games. I kept last months games, because they seemed decent. I’ve literally just gone to unlock the games, and they’re out of keys for The Outer World… WTF… Humble can’t even get that side of it right. Their whole business model: Sell bundles of games, and they manage to fuck it up.
So, lesson: If you want the games, get them early, lest you miss out and have to wait an indeterminate amount of time for them to get the key for you.
This month is yet another average to poor month, with one of the headline games being an MMO, with microtransactions.
