To throw my 2 cents worth of opinion into this one:
– Hollow Knight is the stand out here, it’s absolutely the best game in this genre I have ever played, with fantastic graphics, sound and gameplay.
– Rain World I didn’t like. Visually it looks quite good, but I just couldn’t get into the control of the little animal and found it frustrating.
– Blasphemous I have apparently played, but I cannot recall the game at all. Either I am getting old (that’s not in doubt) or the game is just so bland it didn’t leave a lasting impression.
– Bloodstained was ok. Visually a treat, the rest…passable. You can read my review of it here, if you want.
I haven’t played the last three games at all. They all have overall positive reviews, and a quick read indicates they are generally good Metroidvania style games (with flaws). If you’re into the genre and don’t own most of these, then it’s worth the pickup, even for Hollow Knight on it’s own.
I agree about Hollow Knight, it’s 100% the best game in the bundle. Can’t wait for the sequel, if they ever release it.
