HOW TO GET THIS GAME FOR FREE:
To get in on PS4: To get Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition for Playstation, open up PSN in your browser and add the game to your cart and check out. You can also do this from your Playstation console. An active PS Plus membership is NOT required to get this freebie.
To get in on Xbox 360/Xbox One: To get Injustice: Gods Among Us, open up Microsoft Store Page here and add the game to your account. This is the standard version but you can get the extras separately since a lot of DLC packs are free as well.
To get in on Steam: To get Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition on PC add it to your account from the Steam client or Steam Page.

The only thing that bugs me is that the Ultimate Edition is NOT free for Xbox One, only the Standard Edition thats free, which is fine.. but i know people will see this as being “Unfair” that the Ultimate Edition is free for PS4 and Steam

This is slightly inaccurate. The Ultimate Edition is free for PS4 and Steam, but you can only get the vanilla version that doesn’t come with any extras for Xbox One.
Lot of DLC is free on Xbox too, check it out in the Game Addons tab
I did. The DLC necessary to give the game the equivalent of an Ultimate Edition experience (i.e., characters) isn’t free. Skins are, including a skin for a DLC character, but characters aren’t.
might just be an issue with xbox marketplace the 360 version is also free but not ultimate
