Another free PC game promo by IndieGala is live, this time giving us this ridiculous driving game for free. Mountain Taxi Driver doesn’t even try to be realistic, but let’s face it, sometimes we want games to be silly and pointless. You can beat the whole thing in around 20 minutes. But will you have fun? Probably.

Just head over to IndieGala Store and select “add to your library”. Note that you must be logged in to do this. After you add it to your library you can download it from this page.
This is a DRM-free copy, which means you can download it, back it up and keep it forever without needing any clients such as Steam or Epic Games Store.

I miss when IndieGala actually gave away free Steam games. That was one of the few reasons, apart from the ocassional bundle that interested me, that I even made an account- I don’t want DRM-free games, I want games I can add to my Steam library!
Ha ha ha ha. That game is so bad. It’s high school level of bad.
It actually looks better than Big Rigs. That game was a whole other level of bad.
I honestly thought you were joking, but having read the Wikipedia page, I can clearly see you’re not.
However, almost 20 years on, this game is not a whole lot better. You can’t drive very fast or you’ll lose control. Road joints float above other joints until you get closer, objects quite literally fall out of the sky after popping into existence. There’s trees and other debris growing in the middle of the road, no speedo, no gears, and half the time reversing doesn’t work. All of the assets are stock Unity assets (the game code says so), and I would not be surprised if this “game” was based on a demo engine that’s available for free.
I did play and finish the “game”, it’s terrible. Don’t waste your time. It’s not even good for a laugh.
