ABOUT THE GAME:

So many choices in this game! I think every fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate and other star-ry tv shows will get a kick out of this retro RPG with a modern twist!

Oh, and make sure to grab the other free game at Epic this week; Spirit of the North.

You are Captain Thomas Welmu, a Spacefleet science officer, lost on the other side of the galaxy. Dark forces are en route to Earth to destroy our planet – and you are carrying the only thing that can stop them.

Race back home across the galaxy. Collect new friends on your journey. Make new enemies. You won’t be able to save everyone. Who will you leave behind? Which civilizations will you save – or destroy – along the way? The decisions are all up to you.

You Are… the Captain!

The Captain has Very Positive reviews and it usually costs $16.79 but you can get it for free this week only at Epic Games.

HOW TO GET THIS PC GAME FOR FREE:

Just head over to Epic Games Store or navigate to the game in the Epic launcher before September 22nd 2022, add the game to your cart and checkout. Simple as that. After that, the game is yours to keep, and play, forever.

      • It also has some pretty good humour. The downside is that isn’t not a pure point n click. There are some elements of RTS in there in the combat parts. Can those be avoided? I’m not sure, I haven’t gotten that far.

It does look like the game has branching options, with more than one way to complete each “scene” or part of the game. This is just a theory, I haven’t finished the game and tried to replay it.

        • Think I’ve completed 5-6 planets now plus a space station, it’s definitely a lot like the old school point and click adventure games, but with wildly different endings (apparently). Loads of puzzles, and really interesting locations as well. In the beginning it’s not so apparent that’s its a point and click, but it’ll get there 🙂 Still an awesome game as far as I’m concerned. Totally hooked. After this I’m going to re-play the Monkey Island series. It’s been years.
