Epic Games Store is giving away Dead By Daylight on PC for free

Epic has announced that they will keep the weekly free game giveaway throughout 2021 – follow us on TwitterFacebook or Steam to get a reminder when each new free game giveaway launches!

ABOUT THE GAME:

Death Is Not an Escape.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.

Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.

The Survivors’ goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer – something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.

Dead By Daylight (PC version) has a 71/100 score on Metacritic and it’s normal price is $19.99. Get it for free at Epic Games Store this week and keep it forever!

  1. I found this very interesting and installed it right away and admittedly it is fun BUT: It seems to be one of these games that are paid DLC and microtransaction driven. Hard pass.

    • Not quite… I mean the coolest characters are locked behind DLC, but the core game is all there in the base version. It was free on PS+ and I had a go with a bunch of friends one afternoon, but after that session not a single one of them ever suggested having another go. I get why people like it, but asymmetrical multiplayer’s just not my thing, and turns out it’s none of my friends’ thing either.

      • I don’t mind if cosmetics are locked behind a microtransaction store. But the characters have unique abilities. These affect gameplay.
