Battlefield 6 brings large-scale chaos, Ninja Gaiden 4 returns with blood and precision, and Little Nightmares 3 and Tormented Souls 2 finally emerge from the shadows.

Want to plan what to prioritize? Here’s your all-in-one release guide for this crazy good month for gamers.

What game are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments below!

Ghost of Yotei – October 2, 2025

  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, one day it will also come to PC
  • Price: $69.99 USD
  • Why should you buy it: This is the follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima, set 329 years later in the snowy wilds of Hokkaido. Legends multiplayer / co-op mode is confirmed for 2026 as a free post-launch addition.

Absolum – October 9, 2025

  • Platforms: PS4, PS5, Switch and PC
  • Price: $24.99
  • Why should you buy it: Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat ’em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Bye Sweet Carole – October 9, 2025

  • Platforms: PS4, PS5, Switch and PC
  • Price: $39.99
  • Why should you buy it: A creepy as hell horror journey that plays like Little Nightmares and looks like old school Disney animated movies. A great combo, if you ask me.

Yooka Replaylee – October 9, 2025

  • Platforms: Steam, Epic Games, Playstation, Xbox
  • Price: $49.99
  • Why to replaylee this: Yooka-Replaylee is packed with new moves, more story, exciting challenges, hidden secrets, and more than double the collectibles to uncover. A great game for fans of the original and N64 era collectathlons like Banjo Kazooie.

Battlefield 6 – October 10, 2025

  • Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC
  • Price: Standard edition around $69.99 (confirmed across platforms)
  • Why should you buy it: The next major entry in EA’s flagship shooter series arrives with high expectations. Its global launch and promises of substantial live-service content and new modes aim to reestablish Battlefield’s presence in the modern multiplayer arena

Ninja Gaiden 4 – October 21, 2025

  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Windows) — included with Xbox Game Pass at launch
  • Price: $69.99
  • Why should you buy it: Ninja Gaiden 4 marks the franchise’s return after a long hiatus (the previous mainline was Ninja Gaiden 3 in 2012). Co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames. If you like their games, you know exactly what to expect.

The Outer Worlds 2 – October 29, 2025

  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Battle.net, Steam)
  • Price: Originally announced at $79.99, but Microsoft/Obsidian reversed that decision — the launch price will now be $69.99.
  • Why should you buy it: Set in a new colony, Arcadia, the game puts you in the shoes of an Earth Directorate Agent investigating mysterious rifts torn in space-time, amid a war between powerful factions. There’s a big push to refine and expand on everything from gunplay to character systems: improved stealth, better weapons, more impactful perks and traits, and more reactive environments.

  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
  • Tormented Souls 2
  • Once Upon a Katamari
  • Simon the Sorcerer Origins
