2Dark is a stealth-horror adventure from Frédérick Raynal, the creator of Alone in the Dark. Players step into the shoes of Mr. Smith, a former detective on a mission to rescue kidnapped children from the sinister town of Gloomywood. The game features a top-down perspective with a retro pixel-art style, juxtaposing its dark themes.
Stealth is crucial, as players must navigate through environments filled with traps and deranged foes, using limited resources wisely. Children’s behaviors add complexity—they may panic or cry, attracting danger. Despite its cartoonish visuals, 2Dark is pretty scary.
The Steam version of 2Dark has Very Positive reviews so it might be worth checking out.
