Asleep: Act 1 is free to claim on Steam right now. It normally costs $9.99, and if you add it to your account during the promotion, it stays in your library permanently.
The game is a 2D psychological horror adventure set in Northeastern Brazil during the 1990s. You play as Ana Lúcia, a lonely young woman caught somewhere between nightmares and a reality that is becoming increasingly difficult to understand.

Asleep mixes point-and-click exploration with puzzles, stealth, platforming, and survival horror. Ana’s flashlight plays an important role, since different creatures react to light in different ways. Sometimes it helps you find a path or an item, while other times switching it on may attract exactly the thing you were hoping to avoid.
Staying in darkness for too long is not a great solution either. Ana’s sanity gradually deteriorates, making her surroundings more chaotic and dangerous. You will also move between two versions of the world, collect clues in her sketchbook, and piece together what is happening as the story progresses.
The game currently has Very Positive Steam reviews, with more than 90% of players giving it a thumbs up. There is also an Act 2 if you want to continue Ana’s story afterward.
The free-to-keep promotion ends on November 2, 2026 at 18:00 UTC, so make sure you claim it before then.
