This psychological horror game takes the cheerful look of 1920s animation and turns it into something considerably more uncomfortable. You play as a young mouse spending the weekend at home with Dad while Mom is away, and your main objective is simple: behave yourself and keep Daddy happy.
That means doing household chores such as cleaning, sweeping, making fries, killing spiders, and bringing Dad his pills. You can also explore the house and search for treats and collectible action figures, although the deeper you look, the harder it becomes to ignore what is really happening inside this very dysfunctional household.
The hand-drawn rubber-hose animation gives Bad Cheese a style that looks playful at first glance, while the story steadily pushes things in a much darker direction. Mickey Mouse this absolutely is not.
