Sign the “Stop Killing Games” Petition (Update, 100% Signatures Collected)

Imagine buying a game — investing your time, money, and passion — only to see it switched off forever when servers go down or a publisher decides a game is not profitable any more and simply pulls the plug.

Stop Killing Games is an initiative that calls on game developers and publishers to stop making games unplayable after official support ends. Players deserve to keep access to the games they paid for — whether single-player or multiplayer — without fear of losing them due to decisions beyond their control.

At the time of writing this post, 64% signatures are already collected but we’re a long way from 100% so if you can, please go sign it.

UPDATE: We’re over 100% of needed signatures! Good job everyone!

The campaign demands:

  • Games that can still be played after servers are shut down
  • Transparency on game longevity at the time of purchase
  • Actual ownership of purchased games, not just temporary licenses to play them

If you’re not in the EU, you can still help by spreading awareness and sharing this post!

Let’s stand together to protect gaming history, consumer rights, and our digital libraries. Thank you!
