Flotsam is free on Epic Games Store — build a floating town from the remains of civilization

Flotsam is free on Epic Games Store from November 5 to November 12, 2026. Claim it during the giveaway and it stays in your library.

Flotsam is a colorful survival city builder set on a flooded world where dry land has become something of a luxury. You lead a group of drifters across an endless ocean, collecting whatever junk still floats and turning it into a functioning settlement.

Plastic, driftwood, scrap metal, and other leftovers from the old world become houses, workshops, water systems, and even small gardens. You also need to keep your people supplied with fresh water and food while expanding the town without using more resources than you can find.

Your floating settlement can travel, so exploration plays a big part in the game. You can sail between flooded ruins and forgotten islands, salvage abandoned structures, rescue survivors, and search for resources before moving on. It is essentially city building for anyone who looked at Waterworld and thought the real problem was a lack of proper urban planning.

Flotsam spent years in Early Access before reaching its full release, so there is already a substantial amount of building, exploration, and survival content to dig into.
