  1. I gotta admit, after 4 years, this is the first time I’ve paused my subscription. This month is just more strategy games, more visual novels, which have been done before, and don’t suit my taste. Hopefully next month things will improve.

  2. Yeah, all they needed was to add a clicker game and it’d be my perfect anti-bundle. And The Hex must have been bundled about half a dozen times in the last few months, very disappointing. Okami is decent, but I’ve already played it twice across multiple PS consoles.

  3. I’ll get it because Okami HD. It’s one of my favorite games ever, and I don’t have the HD version yet. Rest is OK, I guess. Don’t really care.

  4. I am a subscriber from almost the beginning and every month there is a bunch of douches who complain about how bad Humble became. There wasn’t a single bundle up to this point that wasn’t worth the asking price just considering the regular asking price of the games. Sure tastes are different but there was always at least one game I liked and played and if I just bought this for the regular price I’d paid more… usually a lot more. Every time the same bloody bla, uuuh too many AAA, uuuh too many indies, uuuh too many games I already have. Shut it! No one cares, really.

  5. What’s wrong with people expressing their opinions on a public forum as you just did, FyO, isn’t that what they’re for? And clearly you do care or you wouldn’t have just had a massive tantrum.

  6. Sorry to hurt your feelings Pants McPants but you don’t bring any interesting to the table. Your criticism isn’t constructive in any way. Well if you don’t like certain things – fair enough but saying things like: “Yeah, all they needed was to add a clicker game and it’d be my perfect anti-bundle.” is borderline trolling. If you have an opinion, explain it and let us know why. If you can’t do that don’t expect any kind words and don’t act like the surprised but hurt like you just do. This is especially true when it comes to more important topics then video game bundles. Cheers and have a nice day.

  7. Hey FyO,
Your entire argument here is Pants McPants’ whinging offends your ability to whinge as well. It makes absolutely no sense what so ever. You speak of trolling, yet have offered no opinion as to why this bundle is so fantastic. We all have different tastes. Personally, I dislike strategy games, they’re dull. I also don’t like visual novels. These aren’t adventure games, they’re like graphic “Choose Your own Adventure” books in digital format, but often based on cheesy love stories. There are hundreds (probably more) on Steam. They’re filler material, and shouldn’t be included in what people are hoping to be a premium bundle. The rest seemed mostly like filler. So yeah, this month was garbage, in my humble opinion.
Oh, and if you’re going to insult someone, try to do it right. “butt”, has two “t’s”, and it’s “more important ‘than’ video game bundles”, not *then*.
As previously mentioned this is the first time I’ve paused, and hopefully the last, the rest of them have had enough games to interest me, even if some of the games haven’t been to my liking.
Back next month to see what Humble brings.

  8. Hey Slade1972, English is not even my mother tongue and I speak a handful of different languages. So I am deeply sorry that I insulted you by confusing two characters. I never sad that this bundle was so fantastic. I just generally think that 12€ for 10 games is a very good deal. Computer games became ridiculously cheep and the whole market is dumping the prices and even gifting more games then anybody can ever play. This aggressive marketing is bad in the long term – especially for small developers. That’s it. That’s my message. Apart form that, this is not the best bundle for me either but still far far away from a “bad deal”.

  9. Opinions are by definition subjective. If you’re going to get this upset and start hurling insults every time someone shares a different one on the internet you’re not going have much time for anything else.

  10. Expressing my personal opinion is what I did and I never referred to anybody specific in the first place. You were the one who felt addressed. Don’t worry I hardly ever comment on anything on the internet and it only took me a few seconds of my life. Anyway… I hope you like the next bundle more.

  11. FyO,

Feel free to express your personal opinion, as you have, but that shouldn’t come at the expense of criticizing other peoples opinion’s. If you like the bundle, great! If you don’t like the bundle, that’s okay too. Not every bundle is going to be great for every person, and not every bundle is worth $12+ to everyone.

Most people will not play every game. A lot of people buy the bundles for one or two games. Getting 10 games for $12 is not a great deal if you won’t ever play any of the games. If Tesla decided to price cut all their vehicles and make them $500 each, that’s an outstanding deal for some, but if I’m blind and unable to drive, therefore will never be using the car, it is a terrible deal and a terrible investment for me.

If you’re able to find $12 of value out of every Humble Monthly / Humble Choice bundle that has been released for the last X amount of months, then GREAT! But no need to fault other people who don’t find $12 value in a monthly bundle, or that say a bundle isn’t worth $12, because for some people, it is not.
