Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask is now permanently free on Steam, so there is no giveaway deadline to worry about. Developer The-Mark Entertainment removed the price on September 18, 2026, making the game free for good.
This is a psychological horror adventure and the original prologue to Saint Kotar. It follows Benedek Dohnany and Nikolay Kalyakin as they investigate disturbing events in the isolated Croatian town of Sveti Kotar, where a series of murders appears to be connected to witchcraft and devil worship. Hey, finally a game set in my home country!
The game focuses heavily on story and atmosphere rather than action. Your dialogue choices and decisions can change the events you experience, while the hand-painted artwork and eerie soundtrack do a pretty good job of making rural Croatia seem considerably less inviting than the tourism brochures suggest.
It offers around three hours of gameplay, two playable characters, branching storylines, full voice acting, and multiple outcomes based on your decisions. The free Supporter Pack DLC is also still available.

Grab it if you like psychological horror, point-and-click adventures, branching stories, or creepy small towns where asking too many questions is clearly going to make your day worse.
