I’ve rummaged through ton of bad games on Steam to find a few of them released in July 2023 that look really fun and worth playing. In no particular order, I present the best new free to play games on Steam:
FISHGUN
FISHGUN is a chaotic fish-person shooter where you feed your sentient gun random upgrades to defeat hordes of evil fruit. This PC game just looks like a lot of fun, and best of all, it’s free on Steam!
Ducks Can Drive
Can they? Yes they can! Ducks like to race, even in their own cars! Earn money by delivering food to fellow ducks in the city, then use this money to upgrade your vehicle. The better the vehicle, the better chance you have to win the race at the end of the day!
Ducks Can Drive is permanently free on Steam (and it has very positive reviews).
Mystery Society 2: Hidden Puzzles
In Mystery Society 2: Hidden Puzzles you will dive into a hidden object adventure with unique tasks, puzzles, and a riveting story. Great little game for casual game fans that don’t want to spend any money. Grab it on Steam for free!
Cave Crawlers
Cave Crawlers is a 1-10 player rogue lite set deep underground in a system of randomly generated caves. Players use weapons, spells, and talents to defeat the unique bosses and enemies found in each biome. Grab this game for free on Steam!
Try Again
In Try Again, your mission is more than just survival in this fast-paced, 2.5d platformer. Master the gameplay, exploit the rules, and seize control of your narrative. And somehow Nolan North stars in this free game on Steam!
Cats Hidden in Paris
Finding cats and clicking on them in this hand-drawn free game is such a joy. Cats Hidden in Paris has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam. You can also buy the additional level for the low price of $1.
Portal Prelude RTX
Portal Prelude RTX is a very well done mod for the original Portal (which you need to own to claim this freebie). This stand-alone game features new puzzles, original voice acting and of course, companion cubes. Some puzzle design and technical issues aside, this is a good addition to the Portal series.
